  • Molasses comes from the sugar-cane plant, whose roots grow as deep as 15 feet, enabling it to collect all the essential trace elements of soluble 'mineral-salts and vitamins' found deep within the earth's crust.
  • Fertile Soil contains the same minerals that make up our bodies. Plants are able to extract these minerals directly from the soil and then convert them into a soluble form which makes it easy for us to digest. Our digestive juices, hormones and enzymes consist mainly of these minerals in solution. Therefore, the 'liquid minerals' found in plants are our purest, most digestible and perfectly balanced form of nourishment.

  • The majority of diseases and illnesses are caused from a deficiency of these mineral-salts & vitamins. It is therefore, paramount that our blood, cells, tissues and bones are continuously supplied with these, in order to maintain our health. The rich source found in molasses - especially potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, ash and silica - keeps the blood in an alkaline state, which prevents it becoming acid. It has been scientifically proven that DISEASE cannot survive in ALKALINE BLOOD. Additionally, it's a rich source of the 'Vitamin B group', extremely high in vitamin B6 and also contains a germicide which destroys harmful bacteria in the intestinal track. Gram for gram - molasses contains six times more calcium as cow's milk and twice as much iron as liver.

The Negroes of the West Indies on sugar plantations, have in the past shown a singular immunity from cancer, had always been high consumers of crude-sugar-molasses. Molasses contains a large proportion of potassium salts, which for the most part is removed from the refined white sugar. Experience has shown that the 'alkaline balance' was really a matter of the amount of 'potassium' in the blood. " This is how our ancestors managed and maintained 'good health' from pregnancy to birth and throughout their lives…and is also one of the main reasons why they lived longer, looked younger and were much healthier than we are today. This further proves that 'good or bad health' has nothing to do with 'genes' but with 'what we eat'".

In 1939, Professor Adolf Butenant (the Noble Prize winner for chemistry) proved life cannot exist without 'silica'. It is essential for the development of bones, teeth, nails and hair - helps the body absorb minerals; prevents osteoporosis; hormone imbalance and slows down the aging process. Therefore, 'silica' should be continuously supplied from a 'food source'.

Molasses is a 'good sugar' and nutritional food, and if used in the correct dosage, it would not affect blood sugar levels. Refined 'white sugars' are harmful.

Mix 1-2 tsp of Molasses in a cup of Zara's Herbal Tea and drink 2 to 3 times daily. (*see Zara's Herbal Tea). Or take the molasses straight from the spoon (undiluted).

ADD 1 to 2 tsp of 'fresh lemon juice'. (*scientific research has shown that
' Vitamin C' helps to inhibit cancer growth).

Adults should have at least 1 tbsp (i.e. 4 teaspoons) of molasses daily and children half this quantity.

Molasses can also be used for browning meats.

Added to cereal, gravy, soups and stews.

In cakes, biscuits, chutneys, puddings, etc.

Animal food.

Plant fertilizer.
